Karin graduated from the University of Phoenix with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and received her master’s degree from Simmons College in clinical social work. Her approach to therapy is to meet the client where they are, to create an environment of safety, and to facilitate the process of self-exploration, healing, and growth.
Karin has clinical experience working with individuals who may be dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, and trauma.
It is her belief that all individuals possess and hold within themselves the answers or solutions they need for their lives and that therapy can provide the tools and the healing necessary to identify what they are. She strives to inspire individuals to step into their worth, to connect with themselves, others, and the world, and to embrace their authenticity with confidence.
Karin has advanced training in EMDR, is Master Certified in ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), uses somatic experiencing and other therapeutic modalities to tailor treatment to the individual and their needs. Karin is a mother of three married children, a grandmother of one, and has been married for almost 30 years. In her spare time she enjoys nature whether in the mountains or by the beach, learning, and the solitude of her front porch.
