For more than 15 years, I have had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through life’s most challenging experiences, including trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, and co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns.
As the founder and Clinical Director of Bay Area Counseling & Consultation, LLC (BACC), I lead a trauma-informed group mental health practice dedicated to compassionate, evidence-based, and individualized care. At BACC, we recognize that mental health is shaped not only by personal experiences, but also by relationships, communities, cultural identities, and systemic barriers. We strive to understand each individual within the full context of their lived experience and provide care that honors everyone’s unique gifts and lived experiences.
Trauma-informed care is the foundation of our practice. Every member of our team—from front office and administrative support to clinicians, compliance, and billing—receives trauma-informed training to ensure every interaction promotes safety, respect, and compassion. Our clinicians utilize evidence-based and neuroscience-informed approaches, including Polyvagal Theory, Self-Compassion and Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Positive Psychology, Animal-Assisted Psychotherapy, Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP).
BACC is committed to providing high-quality, accountable care through measurement-based treatment, utilizing psychometric assessments throughout the course of care to monitor progress and support clinical decision-making.
I earned dual Master of Social Work degrees from the University of Maryland in Clinical Social Work with a sub-specialization in Mental Health and Management & Community Organization. I am a dual Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), certified in Applied Neuroscience, Safe and Sound Protocol provider, and Equine Partner Facilitator.
While my personal caseload is currently full, BACC has a dedicated team of compassionate clinicians accepting new patients. We would be honored to support individuals, families, and referral partners seeking trauma-informed, high-quality mental health care. If you’re reading this, best of luck to you on your journey!
