I specialize in military and first responder families and couples. As a veteran and military spouse myself, I have unique insight and perspective on the challenges and stressors that they face. When I was in the Marines, I saw firsthand the damage that day-to-day military life and deployments wrought. I developed a passion for mental health during this time. When I left the Marines, I chose to continue to serve my country by serving my brothers and sisters in arms.
For me, helping those with traumatic experience is not just a job, it is a vocation. I am a perpetual student of trauma, constantly staying abreast of the latest research and treatments to provide the best possible options and outcomes for my clients. My most frequent modalities are Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sand Tray Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). However, I am experienced in other modalities, including CBT, IFS, and SFBT, and utilize whatever is best for my client’s needs. I am proficient with clients experiencing PTSD and dissociative identity disorder.
