Why Trauma Therapist Network?
See what makes TTN unique from other trauma therapist support communities.
It was made by a licensed trauma therapist with decades of experience in trauma work.
TTN was created and is led by a licensed trauma therapist, Maryland Board approved and registered clinical supervisor and owner of a group psychotherapy practice with more than 20 years experience supporting trauma survivors.
Owner Laura Reagan, LCSW-C, the creator and host of Therapy Chat podcast, has lived experience of complex trauma. Her entire career in the field of mental health has been focused on trauma since she started as a volunteer in a grassroots anti-sexual violence organization in 2002.
Since finishing grad school in 2010, she’s trained in somatic and bottom-up therapies including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, LifeForce yoga therapy, Polyvagal Informed Yoga, expressive arts, Mindful Self Compassion, parts work and IFS, EMDR and Brainspotting.
In TTN, our weekly calls focus on an integrative, relational approach to attachment and trauma therapy. Members discuss complex trauma and dissociation through a client-centered, human rights-based perspective.
Weekly TTN calls are facilitated by Laura and often feature TTN members leading experiential practices or providing learning opportunities for our members. We don’t focus on a specific method or modality, so it’s a great place to be learn and integrate a variety of methods and perspectives from the wisdom shared by our members in weekly discussions centered around the theme for that week.
Trauma focused- Our mission is for trauma survivors to find the help they need and for trauma therapists to develop sustainable rewarding careers for the long haul.
TTN is full of trauma therapists who are new to the field as well as those who have been practicing for 40 years plus. No certification or specific type of training is required. We are open to licensed psychotherapists only, including provisionally licensed.
This space does not include coaches, bodyworkers, yoga instructors, occupational or physical therapists, unless they’re also licensed psychotherapists. We do not include students. Psychiatrists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners who also do psychotherapy are welcome to join.
The reason we limit this space to therapists only is that the directory is a resource for those who are searching for trauma therapy. Additionally, we are creating a container for our members to speak about trauma therapy within a space that is limited to those who share our scope of practice and ethical requirements regarding privacy and confidentiality.
Whether you’re considering joining for an intentional space to focus caring on yourself; to ask clinical questions about the case situations where you feel stuck; to combat isolation and network with others who get it and want to make referrals to trusted colleagues; to learn about the latest developments in the field of trauma therapy; or just to increase visibility of your practice with a directory listing, there is something for you in Trauma Therapist Network!
Not a performative space, not an academic space, not a celebrity worship space. It’s a space for support and collegiality, embodied curiosity, openness, learning, and connection to our shared humanity. If you’re curious to learn more, apply to join us! We’ll send you an e-mail when the waiting list opens with a discount code to save on your first month of membership. If it’s not for you, you can cancel at any time!

Hear from Laura Reagan, LCSW-C about Trauma Therapist Network below.
“I’m on a mission to teach people that trauma is real, healing is possible and help is available. Therapy Chat Podcast and Trauma Therapist Network are two ways that I can help many more people than would be possible in my psychotherapy practice.”
Laura Reagan, LCSW-C, of Trauma Therapist Network and Therapy Chat Podcast
“Searching for a trauma therapist for myself and family members was really rough in the past. I didn’t know if the therapists I found would have the training background and experience I was looking for.
I knew what I needed – a therapist like myself – but I wasn’t sure how to find it.
I figured if it was hard for me, a trauma therapist who knew what I wanted, it would be even harder for trauma survivors who didn’t know where to begin. I had to do something about it, so I created Trauma Therapist Network.”
