I am a wife of a retired military man and a mother to 2 adult children. I worked hard raising children and getting my education and training at the same time. I learned first hand the impacts of trauma as a social worker in the child welfare system, facilitating substance abuse programs in mental health and providing intensive mental health services to men who are incarcerated. Trauma plays out in many forms and if left untreated/unhealed, the ramifications can be costly. My focus is meeting the client where they are and helping them reach their ultimate goal of healing.
