With over 30 years of experience supporting youth and adults within a wide range of treatment contexts and cultural identities, I pride myself on taking an integrative, trauma-informed, and grounded approach to finding the “why” that underlies everything we might otherwise misunderstand as symptoms, struggles, or deficiencies. Drawing on my international education as an adventure-based practitioner, my experience working with neurodivergent clients, and clinical training in play and other experiential strategies, I bring a unique perspective to therapeutic and consulting services.
No one should be defined by a diagnosis, nor are they aided by conceptualizing their lived experiences as isolated behavioral or emotional problems to fix. I believe we need to delve past labels to promote a deeper, shared understanding of the inextricable connections between neurology, social support systems, and the physical environment.
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I provide individual and group teletherapy sessions in the state of Maryland. I am also available nation-wide for consultations for family, clinicians, and professionals, and for conference workshops, webinars, and interviews.
