Kevin Daniels, LCSW, ACSW, QCSW, BCD, LCDP, is a trauma therapist and the founder of Open Minds Therapy, a private practice based in Milford, Delaware, offering telehealth services statewide. His clinical work is depth-oriented, parts-informed, somatic, and EMDR-trained, and the practice is explicitly LGBTQIA2S+ affirming.
Across roughly seven years of practice, Kevin has specialized in complex developmental trauma, co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions, and presentations that do not resolve on standard timelines. His working premise is that the body, the nervous system, and the internal system of parts are collaborators in healing, not symptoms to be managed. He treats the core clinical task as learning to stay present with what has historically been unbearable, without either collapse or detachment.
Kevin is currently pursuing doctoral study in health sciences with a clinical social work emphasis at Bay Path University, with concentrations in trauma-informed practice, health equity, and the structural dimensions of care. At Open Minds Therapy, he practices alongside Jillian Wiggins, NCC, LPCMH, and Elizabeth Scheer, NCC, LPCMH, both licensed professional counselors of mental health.
His clinical voice is shaped by phenomenology, Jungian and parts-based psychology, and somatic science, and is informed by his own lived engagement with grief, identity, family systems, and recovery. He takes the position that harm does not justify harm, and that healing proceeds through repeated, accurate contact with what is actually present.
Open minds. Endless possibilities.
