I have an undergraduate degree in Family Studies from Messiah College (2002) and a graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Maryland (2004). Following graduation, I worked as a Crisis Intervention Counselor with Greenbelt CARES, a community-based counseling organization that provides counseling services for individuals and families. In 2007, I started my private practice, which focuses on serving couples. I became a certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist (EFT) in 2015 and a certified EFT supervisor in 2018. I also completed Levels I and II of the Certificate Program in Advanced Trauma Treatment to better serve clients who have experienced various forms of trauma.
For the past 17 years, I have built and managed my private practice in Ellicott City, Maryland, which is dedicated to couples therapy and the supervision and training of therapists in Emotionally Focused Therapy. I am passionate about educating others about attachment, creating healthy bonds, breaking generational cycles of dysfunction, and healing trauma. I am committed to working with couples to help them learn new patterns of interaction, create more intimate bonds and secure attachment, and repair and strengthen relationships.
