I have practiced as a counselor in multiple therapeutic settings with a myriad of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders, substance abuse, parenting, and life transitions.

Exploring the connection between an individual’s mind, body and spirit is integral to my work. To that end, I have specialized training to integrate spirituality and faith with psychotherapy. One of the hallmarks of my work is helping clients integrate what I believe is central to the human experience—the emotional dichotomy of experiencing joy and sadness. In fact, I believe that embracing this process can lead to a greater sense of freedom and peace.

Before starting my own practice in 2018, I provided individual, family, and group therapy to clients as part of a group private practice. Previously, I worked in a diverse, community-based program. I also worked in both day treatment and out-patient programs for eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia and binge-eating disorder. I had the opportunity to work collaboratively with nutritionists, psychiatrists and other team members and provided both individual and group therapy.

My grief and loss groups have been a core aspect of my practice. My groups provide a holistic experience for individuals who have experienced losses and include a yoga component. I have had the privilege of leading retreats and workshops on topics including grief and loss, listening, relationships and boundaries.

I also have had extensive volunteer roles with the organization Girls on the Run and with my church. Prior to pursuing a career in counseling, I spent 10 years doing fundraising and development work in private schools. I have been married for 19 years and have three children, ages 8, 11 and 15.
