I enjoy working collaboratively with people experiencing grief from a variety of life circumstances; death of a person or pet, changed/estranged relationships, navigating chronic and/or terminal illness, traumatic incidents and more.
I am a clinical social worker and board approved social work supervisor. I received my Masters in Social work from Tulane University with a concentration in Disaster Mental Health.
I have worked as a social worker in a variety of different settings within the medical community and crisis response. I specialize in working with adults experiencing grief, loss and trauma including first responders and medical professionals experiencing work related stress due to critical incidents, secondary trauma and compassion fatigue.
I also enjoy working with people around coping with illness, life transitions and caregiver stress. I have training in critical incident stress management, complicated grief treatment and trauma informed practices.
Practical problem solving and creativity to find solutions that work for an individual is important in my work. My style has been described as warm, direct, compassionate and relatable.
