Life can be overwhelming. Whether it is interpersonal challenges, trauma, grief, or learning why we make ineffective choices, therapy can help. I am a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in managing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors effectively. I work from a non-judgmental, collaborative, and strengths-based perspective. I believe you are doing the best you can at this moment; I will help you build towards making changes in your life to reach your goals.
I work with adults and adolescents and couples who deal with a range of struggles, from life stressors to major mental illness. I have more than 15 years of experience helping people address and resolve issues that are obstacles to a satisfying personal and/or family life.
Trained in both cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), my therapeutic approach emphasizes the client’s strengths and insights and is based on a combination of hard work and humor. I hold both DBT and trauma certifications. I am licensed in the states of Maryland and Virginia.
In addition to therapy, I am certified by the state of Maryland to provide clinical supervision towards licensure for therapists in training.
