I specialize in trauma-informed therapy for individuals and couples navigating relational trauma, betrayal, attachment wounds, family-of-origin wounds, and relationship injuries. Many of the people I work with have spent years adapting to the needs of others, carrying significant responsibility, or trying to understand patterns that seem difficult to change. They may struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, challenges with trust, or feeling disconnected from themselves and their relationships.
My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and relational. I believe many of the patterns we struggle with today developed for a reason. The ways we protect ourselves, respond to conflict, seek connection, or avoid vulnerability often began as adaptations to earlier experiences. In therapy, we work together to understand those patterns with compassion while creating new ways of relating that better support the life and relationships you want.
I integrate evidence-based approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, attachment-focused therapy, and other trauma-focused interventions. With individuals, I help clients process painful experiences, heal from trauma, strengthen their sense of self, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. With couples, I focus on rebuilding trust, improving emotional connection, and understanding the cycles that keep partners feeling stuck.
I am a PhD-trained therapist with a background in clinical psychology and clinical training across inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. After completing my doctorate, I stepped away from formal clinical practice to focus on raising my family. That season deepened my understanding of the relational systems people live within, including the complexities of caregiving, shifting family roles, and the ways relationships can both sustain and wound us.
I later returned to clinical practice under my LPC-Associate credential, bringing together my doctoral training, clinical experience, and a deeper appreciation for the lived realities many clients bring into therapy. My work continues to be guided by the belief that healing begins with understanding, not judgment.
Therapy is a collaborative process. My goal is to provide a space where you feel genuinely understood, where your experiences make sense, and where you can begin creating meaningful change at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
