I am certified in Somatic Attachment Therapy, Family Trauma, and Emotional Freedom Technique. My approach involves using mindfulness and movement to help individuals regulate and process traumatic events. My practice is person-centered, and I move at my client’s pace. I also believe in educating my clients about neuroscience and the mind-body connection. In our sessions, I incorporate parts-work, also known as Internal Family Systems. This process involves identifying parts of the self that protect or need protection and giving voice and compassion to all the parts we hold. By doing so, we can strengthen the energy of the core self. My goal is for my clients to feel heard, feel whole, and to integrate all of their life experiences. We are each unique in this world, and our experiences shape our inner world. Therapy is a place to work through life experiences so that the narrative we carry is one of strength and courage.
I specialize in working with individuals and couples seeking to improve their relationships using attachment-based and somatic interventions. I have a special focus on helping individuals who have experienced relational abuse to recover from their trauma. I work with my clients to identify the patterns that create vulnerability to toxic relationships, explore childhood conditioning, and develop strategies to heal from issues such as narcissistic abuse.
I provide virtual and in-person psychotherapy to those in Maryland, and offer virtual Personal Empowerment Coaching to those out of state.
