Welcome back to Therapy Chat! In today’s podcast host Laura Reagan speaks with Chris McDonald about holistic self-care for therapists and counselors.
Chris McDonald’s speciality is working with teens and young adults. If you worry a lot and have a hard time relaxing, you have come to the right place! Chris can help you discover inner peace and become better equipped to handle life’s challenges.
Chris is someone who is calm, compassionate, genuine, funny and honest with her clients in session. She believes in treating the whole person, mind, body & spirit. Chris was previously a School Counselor for 16 years and realized how much she loves working with teens. As Chris built her private practice, she found myself passionate about helping young adults as well. Chris realized how difficult “adulting” can be and how having proper support and guidance can be very beneficial during these years.
Chris decided to become a Counselor after her first Intro to Psychology course in College. Her professor was such an inspiration. Chris made a life decision to follow her passion and change her major from Journalism to Psychology. It was the best choice she had ever made!
When Chris is not in the office, she enjoys movies, going out to eat and traveling to the beach and mountains. Her favorite self-care activities include daily meditation, yoga and reading.
