Welcome back to Therapy Chat! This week host Laura Reagan, LCSW-C welcomes Dr. Quincee Gideon, a psychologist who specializes in religious trauma and cult abuse. Quincee shared information about purity culture and the harm it can cause. She described how she works with survivors of religious trauma and cult abuse in her California-based psychotherapy practice, as well as her membership community for people who are in recovery from these experiences. Laura found recognition of her own traumatic experiences related to religion through this conversation.
Quincee Gideon, Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist specializing in religious trauma and cult recovery.
