Cara Baltimore, LCSW-C is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in children, adolescents, and families. Cara has a passion for helping others reach their highest self and offers a safe, comfortable, and culturally competent atmosphere. She provides a holistic approach that allows you to be the author of your own treatment. Cara is a hands-on therapist that encourages others to apply skills directly in practice. She is most passionate about helping individuals move trauma from the mind and body, equipping them with the skills necessary to take control of their lives and begin truly living.
Cara has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EDMR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Crisis Intervention Training (CIT). Cara is also a Certified Anger Management Specialist- Trainer (CAMS II) and a Nationally Certified Parenting Instructor for court-ordered individuals requiring training in either of these areas.
Cara has worked in various settings, including psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, therapeutic group homes, schools, outpatient mental heal clinics, community health departments and community crisis response programs.
