Hello, my name is Stacey Bechtel. I recently completed my master’s degree as a clinical Mental Health Counselor at Walden University. My undergraduate degree was in Christian Counseling. As an adoptive mom of seventeen years, I want to bring my knowledge and experience to other parents to help navigate this journey. When I first brought my children home, I knew that I needed help parenting children with trauma. It was hard to find the help that I needed, so I took to reading as much about adoption, trauma, and attachment that I could find. When we needed some professional help and still could not find therapist that understood adoption, I decided to go back to school and focus on adoption, trauma, and attachment. I am here to help adoptive parents and children navigate this journey. In 2022, I completed Theraplay Practitioner training.
